Job Description A. Plans, coordinates and performs financial functions, including profit planning, budgetary controls, cost accounting, general accounting and cost estimating
B. Ensures accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results and forecasts
C. Provides financial analysis, interpretation of variances from budgets, and advice to management
D. Coordinates and is responsible for the preparation of budgets and forecasts and participates in the strategic planning for the Plant
E. Ensures adherence to standard accounting principles and practices in US GAAP and local Mexican statutory reporting
F. Directs the development, preparation and implementation of accounting procedures
to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the operation as well as to develop & mentor the finance team
G. Ensure implementation and compliance with all government procurement regulations
H. Coordinate expenditure requests, including review and approvals
I. Analyzes and forecasts results of alternative courses of action to assist management in short and long term strategic planning to improve the performance of the plant
J. Maintains an environment of strong internal controls and implement ways to automate current workload to provide even better analytical information to management
K. Develop strong business partnerships with all levels of employees, including immediate staff, division staff, and plant leadership team
L. Completes ad hoc requests as needed from Group Controller, Division Controller, and Plant Leadership Team
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) •Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business Administration.
•Knowledge of computerized accounting systems to include word processing and spreadsheet software (ie, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
•Equivalent to five (5) years minimum of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, including the preparation of the monthly P&L and Balance Sheet.
•Knowledge of US GAAP and Mexican Statutory accounting
•Knowledge of integrated computer manufacturing and ERP systems.
•MBA preferred
•Previously Plant Controller experience in Mexico
•Bilingual English/Spanish
